Senior Application Support Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Application/Infrastructure Support Engineer will perform high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, manage system outages, and ensure compliance with VA standards and security policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of application cloud systems
- Detect, isolate, document, and resolve system outages while communicating with users and management
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies and maintain inventory of system assets
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud, including experience with S3, CloudWatch, and automation tools
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, with experience in system administration tasks
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and implement security measures to ensure compliance
