Senior Application Support Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs operations, the full-time Senior Application/Infrastructure Support Engineer will perform high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, develop solutions for technical issues, and ensure compliance with security policies while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of cloud systems
- Detect, document, and resolve system outages or problems, ensuring rapid recovery
- Communicate with users and management regarding the status of issues and system performance
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency with AWS and/or Azure Cloud, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong skills in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
