Senior Application Support Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting complex application cloud systems, the full-time Senior Application Support Engineer will perform operational support, develop technical solutions, and ensure compliance with VA standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform high-level operational support and maintenance of application cloud systems
- Detect, document, and resolve system outages while communicating with users and management
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies and maintain inventory of system assets
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong skills in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, with experience in system administration tasks
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
