Senior Applied Scientist

Job Summary

Driving complex, end-to-end projects, the full-time remote Senior Applied Scientist will focus on model post-training and reward modeling to enhance AI technologies for home shopping experiences, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own LLM post-training pipelines and run training end-to-end on GPU infrastructure
• Build and train multi-category reward models that generate scalar signals from contrastive preference pairs
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship while translating advanced AI research into production impact

Required qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
• Hands-on experience with LLM post-training and reinforcement learning fine-tuning on GPU infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of generative AI, including foundation models and reinforcement learning
• Ability to independently scope and solve ambiguous problems while providing technical leadership
• Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, and experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
