Senior Applied Scientist

Job Summary

To tackle complex research and machine learning challenges in real estate lending, the full-time remote Senior Applied Scientist will lead the design and deployment of automated valuation models (AVMs) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data capabilities and model performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, development, and deployment of state-of-the-art automated valuation modeling systems
• Architect innovative machine learning and statistical models for asset valuation, incorporating various market factors
• Establish quantitative frameworks for model performance assessment and automated retraining across real estate cycles

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline with 5+ years of industry experience (or 3+ years with a Ph.D.) in machine learning model deployment
• Proven experience in developing statistical and machine learning models at the account or asset level
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and R
• Demonstrated experience in technical leadership and mentoring junior team members
• Solid understanding of advanced machine learning techniques and deep learning applications
