Senior Appraisal Consultant

Job Summary

Providing strategic consulting on complex multifamily apartment properties, the full-time Senior Appraisal Consultant will serve as a subject matter expert, supporting internal business areas and managing appraisal standards and risk in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultation on appraisal and valuation matters to internal business partners and respond to inquiries
• Assist in the development of appraisal standards and conduct compliance and quality reviews
• Maintain relationships with lenders and appraisers while supporting vendor management and oversight activities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; graduate degree preferred
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate appraisal, specifically with multifamily properties
• Certified general real estate appraiser in at least one state; MAI designation preferred
• Experience reviewing third-party narrative appraisal reports and familiarity with property condition reports
• Specialized knowledge of multifamily sub-property types or specific geographic markets is a plus
