Senior AR Account Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the Revenue Cycle Reporting department, the full-time Senior AR Account Specialist will manage self-pay balance recovery by reviewing account files, researching insurance coverage, and ensuring accurate billing in a fully remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Review account files daily and research insurance coverage through payer portals to recover self-pay balances
• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of billing while meeting quality assurance benchmarks
• Identify root cause issues related to denials and recommend corrective actions to improve processes and efficiency

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of experience in billing, registration, or patient business services
• Prior experience in billing/collections, denials, credit balances, and working with various payers
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to navigate multiple screens simultaneously
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, payers, and colleagues
