Senior Architect - Java Engineer
Job Summary
To lead the development of scalable enterprise applications, the remote contract Senior Architect - Java Engineer will guide back-end application architecture using Java, Spring Boot, and GCP while providing technical leadership and mentoring to the engineering team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead back-end application architecture and development using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful microservices
- Design, build, and deploy cloud-native, event-driven solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Provide day-to-day technical leadership and mentorship to engineering team members, including running code reviews and enforcing best practices
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of hands-on software development experience with Java
- 5+ years of production experience with Spring Boot and REST API microservices architectures
- 3+ years of direct experience building and deploying cloud applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Demonstrated experience acting as a technical lead mentoring and guiding software engineering teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
