Senior Assessment Designer
Job Summary
Providing ELA and Science subject matter expertise, the full-time Senior Assessment Designer will develop high-quality assessment materials, support program management, and lead projects remotely, ensuring the effective use of NWEA assessment data in teaching and learning.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain assessment items and passages aligned with standards and frameworks
- Consult with program management on project issues, tracking progress and facilitating meetings
- Present professional development workshops and mentor staff on development-related tools and processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English Language Arts, STEM, Education, or a relevant field
- At least 3 years of combined subject-area teaching and test development experience
- Subject matter expertise in Science and English Language Arts
- Experience with assessment development processes and industry standards for assessment quality
- Working understanding of research design, data analysis, and psychometric principles
