Senior Asset Manager

Job Summary

Leading the Asset Management team, the full-time Senior Asset Manager will provide strategic oversight of railcar assets, manage customer escalations, and ensure fleet reliability while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to Asset Managers and Senior Asset Managers, driving team performance and development
• Act as the principal liaison for customer escalations, coordinating with internal departments and repair shops to resolve operational issues
• Conduct high-level analysis of shop performance and oversee cost control measures to optimize maintenance operations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
• 7-10 years of progressive rail industry experience, particularly in railcar maintenance or asset management
• Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams in a technical or operational environment
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with operational data analysis tools like Power BI and Salesforce
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to make strategic decisions in high-volume environments
