Senior Associate, Data Engineering
Job Summary
To support innovative data solutions, the remote Senior Associate, Data Solutions Engineering will develop robust data pipelines, implement data transformations, and provide operational support while mentoring junior team members.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver strategic data solutions using modern data engineering principles based on business requirements
- Independently implement and optimize data ingestion/transformation jobs for downstream consumption
- Champion automation in an agile development environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust and compliant solutions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field
- Minimum of four years of programming experience in Python, Julia, and/or R, with proficiency in SQL
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, cloud technologies, and data operations
- Robust knowledge of data lakes, data governance, and modern data quality techniques
- Domain knowledge of Actuarial, Investment, or Finance within the Insurance/Reinsurance industry is a plus
