Senior Associate Data Scientist

Job Summary

To support the Cell Starting Material - Process Sciences group, the contract Senior Associate Data Scientist will contribute to the characterization of cell starting material and the development of processing technologies, working remotely in South San Francisco.

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development and implementation of characterization studies using Quality by Design principles
• Apply advanced statistical tools to analyze large and complex datasets to enhance product understanding
• Support clinical scale non-GMP manufacturing operations and process characterization efforts for CAR T manufacturing

Required qualifications:

• BS/MS in Molecular & Cell Biology, Immunology with emphasis on data science preferred
• MS with at least 2 years of experience or BS with at least 5 years of experience
• Foundational understanding of mammalian or primary cell culture, biochemistry, and immunology
• Experience with Quality by Design methodologies and statistical modeling in biologics or cell therapy
• Familiarity with multivariate data analysis and statistical software (JMP, R-Studio, Python) preferred
