Senior Associate Operational Risk

Job Summary

Owning core components of the risk and control framework, the full-time Senior Associate Operational Risk will manage Risk and Control Self-Assessments, maintain the risk register, and support audits and regulatory exams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Run Risk and Control Self-Assessments and consistently rate risks using established methodologies
• Maintain the enterprise process, risk, and control inventory, and oversee the implementation of an issues management program
• Prepare evidence for audits and regulatory exams while reporting risk themes to senior leadership

Required qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in operational risk within financial services, regulatory environments, or consultancy
• Hands-on experience with Risk and Control Self-Assessments and maintaining a risk register
• Working knowledge of OCC expectations, Basel operational risk principles, and SOC 2 guidelines
• Experience in preparing audit evidence and responding to examiner inquiries
• Familiarity with AI tools for research and analysis is a plus
