Job Summary
Providing essential paralegal and docketing support to the Patent Law group, the full-time Senior Associate Paralegal will maintain accurate patent records and coordinate prosecution activities while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Open new patent matters in the IP Management System (IPMS) and verify filing dates and application data
- Review correspondence from patent offices and outside counsel, docket prosecution events, and monitor attorney dockets for deadlines
- Coordinate patent annuities, maintenance fees, and other portfolio administration activities in accordance with established procedures
Required qualifications:
- Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with 2 years of intellectual property docketing experience, or equivalent experience with an Associate's degree or high school diploma
- Four or more years of intellectual property experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
- Experience supporting U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, including PCT national phase entries
- Proficiency in ANAQUA or comparable intellectual property management systems
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy under deadline pressure
