Senior Attack Engineer

Job Summary

Blending deep software engineering expertise with a passion for cybersecurity, the full-time Senior Attack Engineer will independently lead complex internal network and Active Directory attack projects in NodeZero, focusing on developing novel attack capabilities and building production-grade systems in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop novel attack capabilities for integration into the NodeZero platform, focusing on autonomous red teaming and offensive security automation
• Design, build, and maintain production-grade Python systems while ensuring attack effectiveness, operational safety, reliability, scalability, and maintainability
• Mentor teammates and improve team processes, code quality, architectural standards, and research safety practices

Required qualifications

• Deep, hands-on offensive security experience against internal enterprise networks and Active Directory
• Expert-level proficiency in Python for large-scale development with a track record of maintaining production-quality code
• Strong command of internal network attack techniques, including privilege escalation and lateral movement
• Experience designing complex software components with a focus on extensibility and operational safety
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex technical projects and make sound decisions under ambiguity
