Senior Auditor

Job Summary

Providing strategic guidance and hands-on leadership, the remote Senior Auditor will support a government agency's audit readiness, financial management, and internal control initiatives while managing complex stakeholder coordination and compliance efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to prioritize high-impact initiatives and ensure alignment on audit readiness and financial management objectives
• Develop and execute internal control testing plans, validate control populations, and manage audit remediation efforts through effective Corrective Action Plans (CAPs)
• Collaborate with stakeholders to monitor audit findings, facilitate timely responses, and recommend risk mitigation strategies to strengthen internal controls

Required qualifications

• Active Secret clearance
• 7+ years of Federal experience in Auditing, Financial Management, or Risk Management within the Department of War (DoW) environment
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analytics and modeling
• Bachelor's degree in a business discipline preferred; CPA preferred
• Relevant certifications such as CIA, CISA, CFE, CGAP, CDFM, or CGFM are preferred
