Senior Automation Tester

Job Summary

Leading automated testing for Databricks-based data platforms, the remote Senior Automation Tester will design and maintain automated test suites using Python and Pytest, validate SQL-driven data pipelines, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines through GitHub Actions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites using Python and Pytest, extending the existing framework
• Validate data migrations and transformations from SQL to Databricks, including schema checks and data completeness
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, managing test cases and defect traceability in qTest

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of QA/test automation experience, with 5+ years in a senior or lead role
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and Pytest for API and data testing
• Expert-level SQL skills, with proven experience validating data in Databricks
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, specifically with GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Databricks Genie and GitHub Copilot
