Job Summary
To support a federal healthcare program, the fully remote Senior Automation Tester will design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications and REST APIs, utilizing Java, Selenium, and Cucumber.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain automation frameworks in Java for REST API and web UI testing
- Automate API tests and validate payloads, status codes, and authentication using REST Assured and Postman
- Write BDD feature files and step definitions with Cucumber while collaborating with business analysts and product owners
Required qualifications
- 12+ years in QA/test engineering, with a minimum of 10 years in test automation
- Proficient in Java for test automation, including OOP and exception handling
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber BDD (Gherkin)
- Familiarity with TestNG or JUnit, Maven or Gradle, and Git
- Knowledge of CI/CD integration tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
