Senior Aviation Cyber Engineer
Job Summary
To support the establishment of civil aviation cyber certification capabilities, the full-time Senior Aviation Cyber Certification Engineer will define processes and documentation for airworthiness security certification, lead risk assessments, and serve as a technical point of contact with certification authorities, working in a hybrid environment from Boston or remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Establish and define processes, procedures, and templates for civil aviation cyber certification
- Lead airworthiness security activities aligned with relevant certification standards and develop necessary documentation
- Conduct security risk assessments and coordinate certification activities with engineering teams
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 6-9 years of experience in cybersecurity or systems security engineering, specifically in civil aviation certification
- Direct experience with DO-326A/ED-202A, ARP4754B, and DO-356A/ED-203A in certification programs
- Experience interfacing with FAA, EASA, or other certification authorities on security aspects of aviation programs
- Proven ability to develop certification processes and documentation from scratch
- Demonstrated capability to work independently while collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines
