Senior Azure Platform Engineer

Job Summary

To support enterprise healthcare operations, the fully remote contract Senior Azure Platform Engineer will design, build, and maintain secure Azure infrastructure, utilizing infrastructure as code and automation to ensure reliable customer deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production Azure infrastructure, ensuring security and compliance for regulated data
• Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform or Bicep, creating automated provisioning processes and reusable modules
• Implement secure CI/CD pipelines and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring operational resilience and observability across customer deployments

Required qualifications

• Extensive experience in designing and operating production Azure environments, including subscriptions and networking
• Strong hands-on expertise with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Bicep
• Experience managing security in regulated environments, including compliance with HIPAA or SOC 2
• Proficiency in identity and secrets management using Microsoft Entra ID and least-privilege RBAC
• Demonstrated ability to implement disaster recovery strategies and maintain observability in production operations
