Senior Backend Developer
Job Summary
To support the development of large-scale microservice platforms, the fully remote Senior Backend Developer will own backend architecture, lead complex integrations with payment providers and blockchain networks, and drive performance and scalability while partially offloading the Tech Lead's responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Own backend architecture across two large-scale microservice platforms, ensuring system design and inter-service communication
- Lead complex integrations with payment providers and blockchain networks, taking responsibility for their reliability in production
- Drive performance and scalability by identifying bottlenecks, optimizing database queries, and implementing caching strategies
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of production experience in backend development with TypeScript/Node.js
- 2+ years of production experience with NestJS, including microservice architecture
- Experience with blockchain transactions and real user funds, including knowledge of HD wallets and smart contracts
- Deep expertise in PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization
- Hands-on experience with microservices, including inter-service communication and eventual consistency patterns
