Senior Backend Developer

Job Summary

To enhance e-commerce capabilities, the remote Senior Backend Developer will focus on backend development, API integration, and AI-driven automation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve platform performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own backend development from design through release, maintaining custom Magento / Adobe Commerce modules and delivering reliable solutions
• Build APIs and integrations, developing GraphQL capabilities and connecting internal and external systems using REST and GraphQL APIs
• Automate processes using AI by identifying repetitive tasks and implementing practical solutions, ensuring validation and error handling

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce, including custom module development and a deep understanding of the platform's architecture
• Experience creating and extending GraphQL definitions and implementing custom resolvers with a focus on performance and error handling
• Practical experience using AI tools or large language model APIs for workflow automation beyond code generation
• Ability to build scripts and utilities using Python, Node.js, PHP, or similar tools to support operational workflows
• Experience writing meaningful unit tests, preferably with PHPUnit, and validating AI-generated tests
