Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To support the innovation team, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design and scale async backend systems in Python, focusing on AI integration and multi-agent workflows while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement async REST/WebSocket APIs using Python, ensuring clean architecture and dependency injection
• Integrate multiple LLM providers and build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines against vector stores
• Maintain end-to-end CI/CD processes, ensuring safe and efficient releases while championing AI across the delivery lifecycle

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production backend systems in Python with async I/O expertise
• Hands-on experience designing and scaling REST or async APIs
• Practical experience integrating LLM APIs and building AI-readiness into backend systems
• Strong relational database skills, including schema design and query optimization
• Experience with vector databases and RAG-style retrieval architectures
