Senior Backend Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of real-time translation services, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs, working remotely while taking ownership of complex features and improving existing systems.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs from product requirements and architectural direction
- Take ownership of complex backend features and services, ensuring successful implementation and delivery
- Write and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests to improve code quality and test coverage
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining backend services and APIs
- Strong experience with Java or Kotlin; experience with both is a plus
- Experience with backend frameworks such as Micronaut, Spring Boot, or similar
- Strong experience working in distributed systems and microservice environments
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools effectively and responsibly
