Senior Backend Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of cutting-edge fraud detection systems, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design, implement, and maintain high-performance backend systems and Core APIs, focusing on reliability and scalability in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize backend systems for real-time data processing and web services with a focus on reliability and cost
- Define and manage SLIs and SLOs for Core API services, utilizing error budgets to balance shipping velocity and stability
- Automate recurring manual tasks and conduct capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure scalable platform operations
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with production operating experience
- Strong proficiency in GoLang and/or Node.js with experience in designing scalable backend systems
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Working fluency with observability tooling such as Datadog or similar monitoring platforms
