Senior Backend Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the connector layer and downstream processes, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will build a canonical adapter layer for payment methods, migrate flows to server-to-server integrations, and ensure reliable transaction status observability in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain the connector and adapter layer for easy provider integration
- Migrate payment methods to server-to-server and embedded flows, measuring performance outcomes
- Ensure reliable transaction status handling and reconciliation downstream of the orchestration layer
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience, proficient in TypeScript and Node.js
- Production experience with payment systems, including authorization, callbacks, and reconciliation
- Practical understanding of idempotency and transaction state machines
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and collaborating with provider integration teams
- Working proficiency in English and Russian
