Job Summary
As a Senior Backend Engineer, the full-time remote position will design, build, and operate services that enhance reliable software delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address customer and business needs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of large backend projects, creating alignment with partners and breaking down tasks into clear milestones
- Design, implement, test, and operate scalable, secure, and maintainable production services and APIs
- Identify and drive improvements for architectural risks, performance bottlenecks, and operational gaps while enhancing system observability
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience building and operating production software with a proven impact on customer or business outcomes
- Strong fundamentals in software engineering, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed-systems concepts
- Deep experience with a backend language such as Go, Python, or Rust
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects with ambiguous requirements and multiple stakeholders
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team practices through technical leadership
