Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of real-time translation services, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design, extend, and maintain Node.js backend services and APIs in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, extend, and maintain Node.js backend services, modules, and APIs based on product requirements
• Integrate Node.js services with other backend components and improve existing services by debugging and resolving complex issues
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to enhance code quality and test coverage

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience with significant work in Node.js services and APIs
• Strong experience with JavaScript in backend production environments and familiarity with Node.js backend frameworks
• Experience with distributed systems, microservice environments, and messaging/event streaming systems
• Proficiency in writing and maintaining unit and integration tests
• Comfort using AI-assisted development tools effectively and responsibly
