Job Summary
Leading the architecture and development of production backend services, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer / Technical Lead will integrate multiple systems and external data sources for a public-sector digital services engagement, working remotely during Eastern Time business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and develop production-grade REST APIs and backend services
- Integrate services with existing systems and external data sources while ensuring reliability and security
- Establish monitoring, logging, and observability for production environments
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience architecting and owning production backend APIs
- Strong backend development experience with Python or comparable technologies
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating backend services in AWS
- Experience with automated testing and performance/load testing
