Senior Backend Engineer
Job Summary
To drive high-impact projects in a fully remote environment, the full-time Staff Engineer will shape the technical direction of Core Backend, build shared services and developer tools, and lead complex initiatives while collaborating with a global engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape the technical direction and roadmap of Core Backend, building shared services and developer tools
- Identify common challenges across teams and create reusable solutions to improve developer productivity and system reliability
- Lead the design and evolution of shared backend capabilities, ensuring application-level encryption and sensitive data protection
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of backend engineering experience, including building and operating production systems at scale
- Strong experience with Go and a track record of hands-on involvement in senior technical roles
- Deep expertise in distributed, high-load systems, including PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, and microservices
- Proven ownership of complex initiatives from design through production, including architecture and technology decisions
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions across teams
