Job Summary
To support the development of an innovative Agentic Staffing Agency for Medicine, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design and implement a graph layer for agent reasoning and manage event-driven architecture, working remotely or from Grand Rapids, MI.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build a graph layer for agent reasoning, ensuring temporal coherence across a patient's journey
- Own and implement event-driven architecture using Kafka pipelines for auditable and immutable workflows
- Lead architectural decisions and improve specifications to enhance system performance and safety in healthcare applications
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of deep experience in distributed systems
- Proven track record of shipping AI-assisted workflows
- Extensive knowledge of event-driven architecture, specifically with Kafka
- Strong opinions on architectural decisions and their long-term implications
- Experience with healthcare systems and HIPAA compliance is a plus
