Senior Backend Engineer
Job Summary
To evolve a multi-cloud FinOps platform into a comprehensive cloud and AI cost intelligence platform, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design and build backend-heavy features, productionalize AI capabilities, and create distributed data pipelines while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build backend features for the FinOps platform, focusing on reliability and user value
- Implement AI capabilities across the software development lifecycle, including prototyping and deployment
- Collaborate with product teams to translate vision into shipped features and establish engineering standards
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep backend expertise in Python
- Experience building and operating data-intensive backend systems or pipelines in production
- Strong understanding of data modeling, reliability, and data processing
- Hands-on experience with AWS and AI-driven development in real production systems
- Ability to architect backend services for asynchronous workflows and event-driven pipelines
