Senior Backend Engineer
Job Summary
To support third-party booking integrations, the contract Senior Backend Engineer will set up infrastructure, build integrations with three booking platforms, and ensure maintainability, working remotely during core Eastern Time business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Review and establish a skeleton service following Aescape's service and infrastructure templates
- Implement integrations for three third-party booking platforms within the established infrastructure
- Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams to enhance Aescape's API and create a maintenance plan for handoff
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with recent production Golang experience
- Proven experience building and shipping third-party API integrations in production environments
- Ability to take a service from skeleton to production with clear documentation
- Familiarity with AWS and infrastructure setup for backend services
- Experience working independently in a contractor role or similar high-ownership position
