Senior Backend Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of critical backend services, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design, implement, and maintain systems for authentication and wallet operations in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build APIs and services for account management and wallet operations, ensuring reliability and security
- Define service boundaries and integration contracts with other teams while optimizing data models and workflows
- Own observability and incident response processes, improving the engineering environment through CI/CD and testing practices
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial backend development experience, particularly with Go
- Proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and caching solutions (Redis)
- Experience with distributed systems and asynchronous messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS)
- Familiarity with application security practices and OAuth 2.0/OIDC implementations
- Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus)
