Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To lead the development of AI-driven integrations within a telemedicine platform, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design and scale backend systems that enhance patient-provider interactions, working remotely in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build backend architecture for AI-powered automation systems, focusing on performance and scalability
• Integrate and scale LLM-based product features in collaboration with AI engineers and product teams
• Develop robust APIs for internal services and external integrations while ensuring strong observability and monitoring practices

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial backend development experience with Node.js in product companies, preferably SaaS
• Strong experience designing backend architectures and technical solutions, including scalability trade-offs and long-term maintainability
• Proven track record building scalable, high-performance backend systems and robust APIs
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into production systems with a focus on reliability and measurable quality improvements
• Fluent in Russian and English at a B2+ level
