Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build new systems and features, improve existing infrastructure, and help developers make more money
- Collaborate with other engineers to build systems
- Review code and contribute to the engineering culture
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven experience as a backend engineer
- Proficiency in SQL, preferably PostgreSQL
- Experience building web applications with a JavaScript framework, React experience is a plus
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs, Python experience is a plus
- Deep empathy for the user and ability to discuss tradeoffs when seeking assistance
