Job Summary
To support a government contract, the remote Senior Backend Software Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable microservice applications while leveraging Python and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain highly scalable microservice applications, including secure user authentication systems
- Lead backend service development using Python frameworks and manage database migrations with SQLAlchemy and Alembic
- Architect and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, utilizing services such as ECS, ECR, and Fargate
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience in building and deploying microservice applications
- Expert-level proficiency in Python, with extensive experience in FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and Alembic
- Proven experience deploying backend microservices using AWS tools like ECS or EKS
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL database design and administration
- Bachelor's degree is required
