Senior Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support a dynamic team, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will drive the design and implementation of greenfield services, collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering teams, and utilize AI tools as the primary development environment in a remote role based in Latin America.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the design and implementation of modern microservices, replacing legacy code with strong test coverage and production-grade observability
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams to translate requirements into engineering solutions
- Independently manage projects, identifying needs, surfacing blockers, and maintaining progress
Required qualifications
- Fluency in AI tools such as Claude or Cursor, using them as primary coding interfaces
- Strong system design skills with the ability to discuss architectural decisions and trade-offs
- Proven delivery of complex systems, demonstrating the weight and scope of previous projects
- Self-directed working style, capable of identifying tasks and driving them without daily direction
- Adaptability to shifting priorities and comfort with handling ambiguity in cross-team requests
