Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

Owning core backend services for institutional clients, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will drive onboarding automation and lead the design and implementation of key services while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage backend services that facilitate the onboarding of institutional clients from application to first trade
• Implement onboarding automation, including automated screening and risk scoring, to streamline processes
• Collaborate with various teams to enhance access controls and support new product launches

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining production backend services in a service-oriented architecture
• Proficiency in Go (or similar), gRPC/Protobuf, relational data stores, and observability tooling
• Experience writing well-tested, production-grade code with a focus on high test coverage
• Familiarity with regulated domains such as identity, access control, and financial onboarding
• Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight in workflows
