Senior Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
Owning core backend services, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will drive onboarding automation and manage institutional client data while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own backend services for institutional client onboarding, including Unified Business Onboarding and KYC Refresh
- Drive automation for onboarding processes to enable low-risk clients to complete onboarding without operational intervention
- Lead the design and implementation of the Organizations Service as a source of truth for institutional client data
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining production backend services within a service-oriented architecture
- Production experience with Go (or similar), gRPC/Protobuf, relational data stores, and observability tools
- Proven ability to write well-tested, production-grade code with high test coverage
- Experience working in regulated domains such as identity, access control, or financial onboarding
- Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight in workflows
