Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

Owning backend services for institutional clients, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will drive onboarding automation, lead the design of core client data services, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance access controls, all while working in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage backend services that facilitate the onboarding of institutional clients from application to first trade
• Lead the automation of onboarding processes, including risk scoring and auto-provisioning for low-risk clients
• Collaborate with various teams to implement access controls and new product features for institutional clients

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining production backend services in a service-oriented architecture
• Proficiency in Go (or similar), gRPC/Protobuf, and relational data stores
• Experience writing well-tested, production-grade code with high test coverage
• Familiarity with regulated domains such as identity, access control, and financial onboarding
• Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly to improve workflow efficiency and quality
