Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

Owning core backend services for institutional clients, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will manage onboarding, provisioning, and access controls while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead backend services that facilitate institutional clients' journey from application to first trade, including Unified Business Onboarding and KYC Refresh
• Drive automation for onboarding processes, enabling low-risk clients to complete onboarding without operational tickets
• Mentor engineers and enhance technical standards through design reviews and operational excellence initiatives

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining production backend services in a service-oriented architecture
• Production experience with Go (or similar), gRPC/Protobuf, and relational data stores
• Proven ability to write well-tested, production-grade code with high test coverage
• Experience working in regulated domains such as identity, access control, or financial onboarding
• Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight for business processes
