Senior Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary

Owning core backend services for institutional clients, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will drive onboarding automation, implement data management solutions, and mentor junior engineers in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own backend services that facilitate the onboarding process for institutional clients, including Unified Business Onboarding and KYC Refresh
• Drive automation initiatives to streamline onboarding for low-risk clients, reducing the need for operational tickets
• Lead the design and implementation of the Organizations Service to ensure data quality and support new product access controls

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining production backend services within a service-oriented architecture
• Proficiency in Go (or similar), gRPC/Protobuf, and relational data stores
• Experience writing well-tested, production-grade code with high test coverage
• Familiarity with regulated domains such as identity, access control, and financial onboarding
• Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly while maintaining oversight for workflow improvements
