Senior Backend Software Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely across all USA time zones, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will drive complex projects from design to launch, tackle architecture challenges, and mentor junior team members while engaging with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive large, complex projects autonomously, from technical design to launch
- Lead code reviews, documentation, and complex bug fixes, especially on high-risk problems
- Partner across engineering teams to tackle company-wide initiatives spanning multiple projects
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience building and developing backend applications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science
- Experience with prominent programming languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Ruby on Rails
- Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and hands-on experience with public cloud offerings (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Fluency in database technologies, including RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
