Job Summary
To support the AI Platform team, the remote Senior Backend Software Engineer will plan, execute, and own technical decisions while designing and building scalable AI systems that manage workloads securely across millions of users.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build gateway, runtime, and evaluation services for AI workloads, ensuring secure scaling and operational health
- Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to establish governance and control mechanisms for AI tools and models
- Educate and mentor team members on best practices in design, coding, and testing while advocating for code review standards
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in designing and launching backend systems using languages like Python or Kotlin
- Experience with highly available distributed systems utilizing AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
- Practical experience with LLMs, agents, or AI frameworks in production environments
- Ability to define technical plans for significant features or system components with a focus on simplicity and extensibility
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
