Job Summary
To enhance data practices, the full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and data architectures while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Designing and delivering solutions for low-latency data problems at scale, including building and running data pipelines
- Implementing DataOps practices and managing reporting APIs to support various products and analytics needs
- Ensuring adherence to engineering best practices around API design, code quality, and security, particularly in healthcare compliance
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (CS/IT) or equivalent from a recognized institution
- 3.5+ years of experience in managing data at scale and building batch and streaming data pipelines
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and experience with public cloud platforms like GCP or AWS
- Solid understanding of microservices, REST API design, and distributed systems fundamentals
- Experience with Apache projects (e.g., Spark, Kafka) and big data databases (e.g., BigQuery, Clickhouse)
