Job Summary
Leading the design of advanced building automation systems, the full-time Senior BAS Controls Designer will create innovative DDC control systems for HVAC and lighting while driving process improvements and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fully remote capacity.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of comprehensive DDC control systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards
- Analyze and refine engineering processes to enhance efficiency and maintain design consistency across projects
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members while coordinating with stakeholders for seamless project execution
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing DDC control systems with a proven track record of successful project leadership
- Proficiency in building automation protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks) and system integration
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and relevant building codes
- Expertise in CAD software and controls design tools, with experience in process improvement methodologies preferred
