Job Summary
To lead the design of advanced building automation systems, the full-time Senior BAS Controls Designer will work remotely, creating innovative designs for HVAC and energy management systems while driving process improvements and mentoring team members.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of DDC control systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards
- Analyze engineering processes to enhance efficiency and develop standard operating procedures for streamlined workflows
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members while collaborating with project stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable designs
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing DDC control systems with a proven track record of successful project leadership
- Proficiency in building automation protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks) and system integration
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and control panel design
- Expertise in CAD software and controls design tools, with experience in process improvement methodologies preferred
