Senior BAS Design Engineer
Job Summary
To support a leading industry pioneer in hyperscale data centers, the remote contract Senior BAS Design Engineer will lead critical infrastructure projects, perform technical reviews of BAS designs, and develop comprehensive BAS submittal packages while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Perform technical reviews of BAS vendor and integrator submittals, ensuring compliance with design standards
- Validate controls hardware and network communication protocols across DDC, PLC, and SCADA platforms
- Author and maintain design standards, guide specifications, and reference designs for building automation systems
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of BAS controls design experience with expertise in producing complete BAS design packages
- In-depth technical experience with major BAS manufacturer platforms such as ALC, Johnson Controls, or Honeywell
- Proven ability to operate independently at a senior level and set technical direction
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
