Senior Bioinformatics Scientist

Job Summary

Seeking a remote full-time Senior Bioinformatics Scientist, the successful candidate will lead complex technical projects, drive innovation in bioinformatics methods, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic solutions in genomics and genetics.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead complex technical projects and evaluate identifiable factors to resolve issues
• Design and implement advanced bioinformatics solutions while collaborating with molecular biology teams
• Establish quality control metrics and drive improvements in data accuracy and turnaround time

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years, Master's degree with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years of experience in bioinformatics, molecular biology, computational biology, or engineering
• Experience in leading technical projects and system architecture design
• Strong understanding of bioinformatics algorithms and regulatory compliance requirements
• Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Python, Nextflow, and GitHub Actions
• Track record of developing and optimizing complex analysis pipelines
